**Are you ready to sit AB-620?**

That is the only question this practice set answers, and it answers it five times over. AB-620 leads to the Microsoft Certified: AI Agent Builder Associate credential. It is aimed at professional developers and advanced builders, and it reaches well past building an agent in the maker portal: Model Context Protocol tools, custom connectors and REST APIs, multi-agent collaboration and A2A, Microsoft Foundry, computer use, agent evaluation, and lifecycle management with solutions and pipelines.

This practice set holds 250 questions across five practice tests of fifty, written against the skills measured Microsoft publishes for AB-620. Each test follows the blueprint's domains, so the score report points straight at the area to revisit.

**Why older question banks are the wrong preparation.** AB-620 is new. Much of the Copilot Studio material still circulating was written for the applied skill that was retired in 2026, or for the maker-level view of the product, and it stops before the parts this exam leans on. Microsoft offers a free practice assessment, but it is short, and the testing and lifecycle domain deserves more practice than it gives. That is where many candidates lose points.

**The five tests build up.** Groundwork checks the building blocks, one concept per question. In Practice puts them in short scenarios where neighbouring features are easy to confuse. Trade-offs gives you two defensible answers and one constraint that decides. Under the Hood asks for exact fields, limits and step order. Exam Day is a full-length simulation with long stems, mixed domains and the thinking time per question the real exam allows.

**Every question is explained.** Each answer option has its own feedback saying why it is right or wrong and, when it is wrong, what that option actually is – which is how the distinction sticks. Underneath sits an explanation of the question with a link to the Microsoft documentation.

Pass marks are 80 percent, and 85 for the simulation: deliberately above the real exam, because Microsoft reports a scaled score of 700 out of 1000 that is not the same as 70 percent of the points, and because practising at home is milder than a test centre.

**What this is not.** It is not a course and will not teach you Copilot Studio from scratch. It is a question bank with worked explanations, built to sit next to the free official Microsoft Learn material and to tell you honestly whether you are ready to book AB-620.

Groundwork: Copilot Studio Agent Essentials

50 questions · 85 minutes · pass mark 80%

Fifty questions that check whether the building blocks are in place: the three end-user authentication options, channels and data policies, content moderation, topics and variables, knowledge sources, tool types, child versus connected agents, Application Insights, agent evaluation and solutions. One concept per question and short stems, so you find the gaps before the scenarios start. The domain mix matches the official skills measured, so your score report points straight at the area to revisit. The pass mark is 80 percent rather than the scaled 700 that Microsoft reports, because practising at home with no proctor and no time pressure is milder than a test centre; clearing a practice test by a margin is what tells you the real one is within reach. Every answer option carries its own feedback, and each question closes with an explanation and a link to the Microsoft documentation.

In Practice: Choosing the Right Building Block

50 questions · 90 minutes · pass mark 80%

Fifty questions built on short practical scenarios. The point is telling neighbouring features apart: an agent flow or a Power Automate cloud flow, Raise an error or Continue on error, Copilot connectors or Power Platform connectors, Tool use or Compare meaning, end user or maker-provided credentials. Two trap pairs share an almost identical stem with one requirement changed, exactly as the real exam does it. Ninety minutes for fifty questions, pass mark 80 percent. Per-answer feedback and a documented source for every question.

Trade-offs: When Two Answers Look Right

50 questions · 90 minutes · pass mark 80%

Fifty questions in which two options are both defensible and a single constraint decides: data residency, cost, latency, who maintains the agent, whether a signed-in user exists, or preview versus production. Every explanation states why the second plausible option falls away on that constraint, which is the reasoning the exam actually rewards. This is the test that separates knowing a feature from knowing when to use it. Ninety minutes, pass mark 80 percent.

Under the Hood: Settings, Limits and Steps

50 questions · 80 minutes · pass mark 80%

Fifty questions about the exact values the exam expects you to recognise: the fields of manual authentication, the prerequisites for a flow to become a tool, the request timeout of the Send HTTP request node, the four authentication types of Azure AI Search, computer use retention and verbosity, test set import limits, the deployment pipeline roles, and the order of the configuration steps. The questions are short, so the clock is tighter than in the previous tests: eighty minutes, pass mark 80 percent. If you have only read about Copilot Studio rather than built in it, this test will show it.

Exam Day: Full-Length Simulation

50 questions · 85 minutes · pass mark 85%

Fifty questions at exam length: long stems, several constraints per question, and domains deliberately mixed, the way AB-620 presents them. The clock is deliberately tighter than the real 120 minutes, because the official exam spends part of its time on labs and case studies while this test is fifty text questions; eighty-five minutes leaves about the same thinking time per question as the real thing. The pass mark is 85 percent rather than 80, because this is your readiness gate rather than a study round: clear it twice, comfortably, and you are ready to book. Per-answer feedback and a source link for every question.

What you will practice

  • Test yourself against 250 AB-620 style questions that follow the published skills measured.
  • Tell neighbouring Copilot Studio features apart: agent flows and cloud flows, Copilot and Power Platform connectors, MCP tools and REST calls.
  • Read why every option is right or wrong, with feedback per answer plus an explanation that links to the Microsoft documentation.
  • Work up from single-concept questions to a full-length simulation with exam-length scenarios and a clock that tightens as you go.
  • See your score per skills-measured domain after each test, so you know which area to revisit before you book the exam.
  • Practise agent evaluation and application lifecycle management, the domain where the free learning material is thinnest.

Who is this for

Developers, consultants and ISV partners who build agents in Microsoft Copilot Studio for other people to use, and who want to sit AB-620 rather than guess at it. Power Platform makers moving up from low-code agent building will recognise a good deal of the ground and can use these tests to find out how much of the developer half - Model Context Protocol tools, custom connectors and REST APIs, multi-agent collaboration, Microsoft Foundry, computer use, agent evaluation and application lifecycle management - they already have. IT professionals who own the governance side, and who need to know what a data policy, an environment strategy and a deployment pipeline do to an agent, will find a full quarter of the questions in their own territory. This practice set also suits anyone who earned the Copilot Studio applied skill before it was retired in mid-2026: AB-620 is the associate-level exam that now carries that ground, and it goes considerably further. If you are a business user or subject matter expert building low-code agents for your own team, the maker-level Copilot Studio exam is the better fit; this one assumes you write Power Fx and read an OpenAPI specification without flinching. What this is: 250 questions with a worked explanation for every answer option, and a score report per exam domain. What it is not: a course. Nobody learns Copilot Studio from a question bank, and these tests are built to sit next to the free official learning paths, not to replace them.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio: you have built an agent with knowledge sources, instructions, topics and tools.
  • The exam profile also assumes Power Fx, Dataverse, Power Platform environments, adaptive cards, REST APIs, and generative AI concepts such as RAG, MCP and A2A.
  • These are practice exams, not a course. Use them next to the free official Microsoft Learn material, not instead of it.
