Are you ready for AB-100? If you have worked through the Microsoft Learn material and still aren't sure how the exam will ask about Copilot Studio orchestration, Microsoft Foundry model choices or the ALM of agents, this practice set gives you a clear answer before you book.

This practice set contains five full practice tests of 100 questions each, 500 in total. Every question is written against the AB-100 study guide with skills measured as of October 14, 2026. Microsoft updates the English exam on November 16, 2026 and moves weight from deployment to planning and design. These tests follow the outline in force until then, within its published ranges: 28 questions on planning AI-powered business solutions, 28 on design and 44 on deployment, monitoring, testing, ALM, security and governance. Check the study guide for the version that applies on your exam date.

If you prepared for PL-600 or MB-700, note what changed. Both exams retired on June 30, 2026, and AB-100 asks about a different world: agents built in Copilot Studio, Microsoft 365 Copilot and Microsoft Foundry, multi-agent designs, the Model Context Protocol, computer use, prebuilt Dynamics 365 and Microsoft 365 agents, model routing, evaluation and the governance of AI. Classic Power Platform or Finance and Operations architecture questions prepare you for the wrong exam.

The five AB-100 practice tests build up step by step:

  • Test 1, Groundwork: one concept per question, as a baseline.
  • Test 2, In Practice: short scenarios that separate look-alike features.
  • Test 3, Trade-offs: two answers look right and one constraint decides.
  • Test 4, Under the Hood: settings, admin paths, roles and ALM steps.
  • Test 5, Exam Day: long architect scenarios with the least time per question.

Every answer option has its own explanation, so you learn why a wrong option is wrong and what it actually does. Each question ends with a summary and a link to the official documentation, almost always Microsoft Learn, behind the answer.

After each attempt PrepKiwi shows your score per domain, so you know where to review. The pass mark is 80% for tests 1 to 4 and 85% for test 5, set higher than Microsoft's scaled 700 on purpose, because practising at home is easier than a proctored exam.

This is a practice set for AB-100. It tests and explains; it doesn't replace hands-on work in the products or the official Microsoft learning path.

Groundwork: Core Concepts of Agentic AI Solutions

100 questions · 160 minutes · pass mark 80%

Start here. This first test covers the full AB-100 outline at foundation level: 100 direct questions, one concept each, spread over the three exam domains in our question mix (Plan 28, Design 28, Deploy 44), which follows the outline in force until November 16, 2026. You meet the core vocabulary of the exam: the Cloud Adoption Framework AI phases, declarative versus custom engine agents, Copilot Studio orchestration and topics, Microsoft Foundry and Foundry Tools, prebuilt Dynamics 365 and Microsoft 365 agents, testing, ALM and responsible AI. Take it cold as a baseline. You have 160 minutes and need 80% to pass. Microsoft's real pass mark is a scaled 700, which is not the same as 70% of the answers. We set this bar higher on purpose: practising at home is easier than a test center, so a margin here gives you room on exam day. Every option comes with its own explanation, and every question links to the official documentation behind the answer.

In Practice: Copilot Studio, Foundry and Dynamics 365

100 questions · 165 minutes · pass mark 80%

The second test moves from definitions to short workplace scenarios. Each of the 100 questions describes a small situation and asks you to pick between neighbouring options that are easy to mix up: child versus connected agents, Researcher versus Analyst, Compare meaning versus Exact match, Foundry roles, glossary versus synonyms, AI Builder prebuilt versus custom models. The domain split stays the same as in every test (Plan 28, Design 28, Deploy 44), with 14 multi-select questions. You have 165 minutes and need 80% to pass. Read the feedback on the options you rejected as well: most mistakes at this level come from knowing a feature but not its closest look-alike.

Trade-offs: When Two Architectures Look Right

100 questions · 170 minutes · pass mark 80%

In this test two answers often look right. Each scenario states one constraint that decides: data residency, licensing, an existing Dynamics 365 app, latency, cost, governance or who owns the solution. Typical choices are Data Zone versus Global deployments, synced versus federated Copilot connectors, Agent Builder versus Copilot Studio, build versus buy versus extend, and which ALM or security control fits. The 100 questions keep the same domain mix, with 14 multi-select questions and longer stems than tests 1 and 2. You have 170 minutes and need 80% to pass. Train yourself to find the deciding sentence in the stem before you look at the options.

Under the Hood: Settings, Admin Paths and ALM

100 questions · 140 minutes · pass mark 80%

This test goes into configuration detail: where a setting lives in the Power Platform admin center, Microsoft 365 admin center, Copilot Studio or Microsoft Foundry, which role or permission is required, which steps come first, and what solutions, pipelines, environment variables and connection references do during deployment. Stems are shorter, but the answers are precise, with 16 multi-select questions among the 100. The domain split is unchanged (Plan 28, Design 28, Deploy 44). You have 140 minutes and need 80% to pass. If you score well on tests 2 and 3 but drop here, you know the concepts and should spend time in the products themselves.

Exam Day: Full-Length Architect Simulation

100 questions · 160 minutes · pass mark 85%

The final test is a full-length simulation. The 100 questions are the longest in this practice set: architect-level scenarios with several constraints at once, mixing planning, design and deployment the way the real exam does. There are 16 multi-select questions and 160 minutes, which leaves less thinking time per question than any earlier test. Take it in one uninterrupted sitting, without notes, and treat it as your readiness check. The pass mark is 85%, higher than in tests 1 to 4. A scaled 700 on the real exam is not 70% of the answers, so we set this bar high on purpose: a practice test at home is easier than a proctored exam. If you pass this one comfortably, you are in good shape to book AB-100.

What you will practice

  • Test your readiness for AB-100 with 500 questions across five full practice tests, weighted like the Plan, Design and Deploy domains
  • Choose between Copilot Studio, Microsoft 365 Copilot agents and Microsoft Foundry for a business scenario and justify the choice
  • Design ALM, monitoring, testing, security and governance for agents, including Dynamics 365 AI features and prebuilt agents
  • Learn from explanations for every answer option plus a summary per question with a link to the official source
  • Build from foundation questions to a timed, full-length exam simulation with an 85% pass mark as a final readiness check
  • Find your weak domain through per-domain scores after each attempt and focus your review where the gap is

Who is this for

This practice set is for solution architects, functional consultants and senior makers who design AI-powered business solutions with Microsoft Copilot Studio, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Microsoft Foundry and Dynamics 365, and who want to test themselves before sitting AB-100: Agentic AI Business Solutions Architect. It suits Power Platform and Dynamics 365 consultants moving into agent design, developers and IT professionals who are taking on an architect role, and technical pre-sales, project leads and AI Center of Excellence members who need to reason about ROI, governance and responsible AI. Many candidates arrive from the retired architect exams PL-600 (Power Platform Solution Architect) and MB-700 (Finance and Operations Apps Solution Architect), both retired on June 30, 2026. AB-100 is a different exam: it centres on agents, orchestration, Foundry models, prebuilt Dynamics 365 and Microsoft 365 agents, and the ALM, security and governance of AI, so PL-600 or MB-700 practice material prepares you for the wrong outline. Remember that AB-100 also requires one of the listed associate certifications. This practice set is a bank of 500 exam-style questions with explanations; it tests and explains, but it doesn't replace hands-on experience or the official learning path.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of at least one of Copilot Studio, Dynamics 365, Power Platform or Microsoft Foundry; the exam profile assumes solution design experience.
  • These are practice exams, not a video course. Use them alongside the free Microsoft Learn material for AB-100, not instead of it.
  • No paid software is needed. A trial tenant or Copilot Studio trial helps you check settings, but isn't required to take the tests.
